Sorry if the website is acting up today. That last article I wrote, a half serious review on Ubuntu 7.04 got me 15 000 hits in one night, something my host obviously can’t handle! I never could imagine I’d get this kind of response, nor that people actually could care about what I thought!
Also, to everyone who thinks my spelling and reviewing skills suck bad:
1) I’ve never reviewed much in my life, certainly not an OS and certainly not in English
2) English is not my mother tongue. I live in Finland and speak Swedish - humor me! But you’re right, I do make a lot of spelling errors in writing English but I’ll try to improve my skills.
Thanks to everyone!
So say we all!

I’ve decided to be productive for a change, seeing as I’ve now been in Espoo for almost and having done nothing really. I’ve just been taking it easy, going on some lectures in maths, physics, circuit theory and digital technology, playing BF2142 (great game btw) and staying up waaaay to late at night.
But this is all going to change (yeah right)! I thought it’d be great idea to begin this new era by publishing another article. I’ve had this one in my mind for a long time and I actually mentioned ages ago in this post. Now I’ve finally gotten the guts to publish it. By the way - if you don’t hear from me in like a couple of months, the Finnish government has probably thrown me in jail
Anyways, here’s the story what the Finnish Defence Forces didn’t want you to read: “Conscripts talk security”.

Hello! Sorry for the shape of this blog. Not only have I not made any serious posts in a while, there’s also something really fishy about that sidebar and I’m not really sure what’s going on there.
The reason for all this is that I’ve finally moved out of my parent’s house to a flat in Otaniemi in Espoo (suburb to Helsinki). I’ve also begun my studies at the Department of Electrical and Communications Engieering (fancy ‘ey?!) in Helsinki University of Technology. Though I am exited about studying there the subjects seem quite difficult. Especially since I haven’t even used a calculator or opened a physics book in almost two years! So there’s a lot of hard work to be done
Having said that I do believe I will have more time to write entries and articles in the future. And damn, I need to fix that sidebar! If I even …

And so this magical, mythical and seeminlgy unreachable day finally comes. The day stories become legends, people become heroes and soldiers have done their duty to their country. This day is called OHI ON! which literally means “it’s over”. Today was my last day in service with the Finnish Defence Forces. There’s only been two better days in my life: When I graduated from senior high school, and the day I fell in love with my girlfriend.

Well, I am P-I-S-S-E-D! What are yee, my good man pissed at, you ask. Adobe Premiere Elements be my answer to thy question. Why? Because it sucks, that’s why. I’ve never used a tiltier software. Ok maybe M$ Word or something but that doesn’t count.
So i’m trying to make a short clip about my RC plane “Stinger” and this goddamn Premiere Elements hans up like every five minutes. How can anyone work that way?? I’ve now spent hours trying to cut together a 2.5 minute long film and what do I have to show for it? Squat! That’s what. Nuddin’! Not that Premiere Elements is particulary good even if it wouldn’t tilt. It’s slow - sluggish and… well, simple. You can do none of tha fancy stuff you can do with the real Premiere. I just thought the elements version would be faster and easier to work with but nooo… …
